Police Seek Motorcyclist Connected to Fatal Crash on Highway 213

Oregon State Police are looking for a person they believe hit and killed a man riding an electric bike on Highway 213 and Southeast Luther Road in urban Clackamas County Sunday night.

According to officials, Nolan Heine, 67, of Portland, was riding an Easy Motion electric bike at about 6:20 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, when he attempted to cross 213.

A witness told authorities that they believe Heine was struck by an unidentified man riding a white moped or motorcycle. He appeared to be wearing a black helmet and a white T-shirt.

Police are seeking the identity of this person, whom a witness said struck and killed a man on an electric bike Sunday.

The witness said the unidentified man paused before continuing north on 213.

Heine was taken to OHSU Hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Oregon State Police are asking anyone who saw the crash or who knows the identity of the ma to contact the Oregon State Police Northern Command Center at 1-800-442-2068 or *OSP and refer to case no. SP20-217251.
