The Canby Current
Coming soon, The Canby Current is Canby’s new weekly newspaper, dedicated to covering news, sports, local events, happenings and all things Canby. Published every Monday, the Current will feature local history stories, community voices, art and fiction by Oregonian content creators, crosswords and other puzzles, trivia and children’s activities.

Why the Current?
Originally launched as the Canby Now Podcast, our news organization went through a comprehensive rebranding process in August 2020, emerging as a multi-platform agency led by The Canby Current.
To us, “current” embodied the steadiness and immediacy of our news coverage that had become our trademark, and enabled us to preserve the distinctive “pulse” from our original logo.
While the “current” evokes the liveliness and energy we strive to bring to the business of local news in everything we do, it also reminds of our community’s unique geography, nestled amid the confluence of three rivers: the Willamette, the Molalla and the Pudding.
Like a river’s current, The Canby Current will be fresh and refreshing, clean, clear and never stale. #SwimWithTheCurrent, and we’ll help take you wherever you need to go.
Now Hear This: Canby
Formerly known as the Canby Now Podcast, Now Hear This: Canby is a twice-weekly, community-supported local news podcast produced by Now Hear This Studios in Canby. Each episode contains Canby news stories read by local voice talent and audio clips, interviews with interesting guests and other segments.
Hosted by Podbean, the free version is ad-supported and can be found on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, TuneIn and all other major outlets. An ad-free version is available through Patreon (and will also be included with a digital subscription to the Current) for $15 a month.
