Oregon City Man Arrested for Possession of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

Oregon City Police arrested a man and took possession of a collection of controlled substances including fentanyl pills and powder and methamphetamine after executing a search warrant at an apartment complex this week.

David Tornblad, 53, was detained following a drug search warrant at his apartment in Oregon City Terrace on May Street at approximately 8:15 p.m. Wednesday. Officers also seized an unspecified quantity of drugs and body armor.

Tornblad was lodged at the Clackamas Jail on charges of felon in oossession of body armor, second-degree distribution of a controlled substance II, second-degree trademark counterfeiting, and possession of a controlled substance.

Tornblad was charged in May 2005 with attempted burglary and assault charges, including assaulting a public safety officer, ultimately pleading guilty to lesser felony charges, according to online court records. He was also convicted of felony charges in an unrelated 1997 burglary and assault case.

“Once again, thank you to all the community members who have been working hard to bring awareness to the ongoing fentanyl crisis,” Oregon City Police said in a Facebook post. “If you know someone who is selling drugs in Oregon City, we would like to hear from you.”
