Northbound Highway 551 Near Hubbard to Be Closed for One Month

Northbound Highway 551 north of Hubbard will be closed for about a month starting next week, Oregon Department of Transportation officials said.

Crews will be working to remove and replace the concrete and asphalt on Highway 551 and will close the northbound lane to complete the work.

The project site is located under the Highway 99E overpass and the lane will be closed for at least four weeks, from May 22 to June 19.

Officials advise motorists and residents to expect construction noise and work to happen nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The northbound lane will remain closed until the work is complete.

Detour signs will direct northbound traffic to use Highway 99E to Ehlen Road to reconnect with 551. Visit TripCheck.com before you go for the most current information on traffic impacts.
