Man Dies in Highway 99E Crash Between Canby, Oregon City

A Vancouver man died in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 99E Thursday night between Canby and Oregon City.

Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the incident near milepost 16 at approximately 9 p.m.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Trailblazer, operated by 33-year-old Alexander Novin was southbound when it left the road and struck a large boulder.

Novin sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead, police reported. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

OSP was assisted by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Clackamas Fire, and ODOT.
