Juvenile in Custody After Shots Fired at Clackamas Town Center

There were no apparent injuries but one juvenile was taken into custody after shots were reportedly fired in the parking lot of the Clackamas Town Center mall Friday afternoon.

Deputies responded at approximately 5:30 p.m. and soon located a juvenile who was allegedly seen fleeing the scene with a firearm.

The juvenile, who was not identified, was taken into custody without incident, deputies reported, and a handgun was recovered at the scene.

Investigators did not find any evidence of injuries at the scene and there were no reports of anyone being struck by gunfire, police said.

The juvenile was transported to the Donald E. Long Juvenile detention facility in Multnomah County and lodged on unlawful possession of a firearm.

Investigators are still trying to determine the events that led up to the disturbance and are seeking tips.
