Gervais Woman Killed in Fatal Crash on 211 in Clackamas County

A Gervais woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 211 northeast of Colton this weekend.

According to the Oregon State Police, Kristina Marie Copeland, 32, of Gervais, was traveling northbound in a green 1992 Toyota Camry at approximately 10:45 a.m. Sunday, when she crossed the center line for unknown reasons and struck a blue 2004 Jeep Liberty driven by Michelle Aretha Thornberg, 48, of Sandy.

Copeland was pronounced dead at the scene. Thornberg and a minor female passenger were transported to Oregon Health and Science University for medical treatment of unspecified injuries.

The highway was impacted for approximately four hours while first responders and crash scene investigators worked the scene.

Oregon State Police was assisted by Colton Fire, the Clackamas County Medical Examiner’s Office, Clackamas Chaplains and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
