Canby High School will host an informational online forum via Zoom at 7 p.m. Wednesday night to discuss the upcoming school year and answer questions from the community. According to Principal Greg Dinse, the focus of the session will be on “responding to student concerns and questions.”
After spending most of this summer planning for a hybrid model due to earlier guidance from the Oregon Department of Education, the Canby School District was forced to pivot to a fully distance learning approach after Governor Kate Brown unveiled strict new metrics for reopening late last month.
School officials hope to reopen students to classrooms for some in-person learning later this winter when the county’s coronavirus outlook (hopefully) improves.
