Canby Police Department’s Bike Rodeo Returns this Saturday

Yeehaw! The beloved annual Bike Rodeo, a partnership between the Canby Police Department, Canby-Aurora VFW Post 6057 and Auxiliary, and other sponsors, will return this Saturday after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The rodeo will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 21 at Knight Elementary School, 501 North Grant Street.

As always, the event will highlight bicycle safety tips and allow young riders to showcase their skills in a series of bike safety exercises. Prizes will be awarded.

Officers will also be handing out a limited supply of free helmets, along with snacks and other goodies.

Children up to age 12 are welcome at this free event. Kids must bring their own bikes to participate.

Other event sponsors include the Canby School District, Hotrod Dreamworks, DirectLink, The UPS Store and Canby Kiwanis.
