In sports this week, most spring activities are winding down along with the school year itself, as teachers and students look forward to the imminent arrival of summer.
The Canby girls rugby team capped off a phenomenal season as they fought hard but ultimately fell to the Linn Benton Ladies in the state championship at Western Oregon University on Saturday. It was the Cougs’ only loss of the season as they finished No. 2 in the state. The champs, Linn Benton, went 6-0 on the year.
