Canby boys & girls basketball teams are a combined 0-4 in league play after a red-hot 5-1 start. Both are playing some of the best basketball they have in years. But the Three Rivers League is still the Three Rivers League. @canbyathletics @Canbybball @CanbyGirlsHoops https://t.co/ot6YbmCXtB

They’ll have a chance to turn things around this Friday as they draw Tigard at home. The Tigers are ranked eighth in the state and 11-6 on the season, though only 1-4 in league play.

More importantly, the Cougs won their only meeting earlier this year, a 58-46 upset that stunned Tigard at home. No doubt, the Tigers will be looking to return the favor when they come to Canby High School Friday. Tip off at 7 p.m.

The Canby Girls Basketball Team halted their two-game skid Friday against Lake O, improving to 9-6 on the season and 3-3 in the Three Rivers League. They have two games this week, both on the road.

On Wednesday, they’ll face surging St. Mary’s Academy, who has won 8 of their last 10, and wrap the week vs. the struggling Tigard Tigers.
