Boring Woman Killed in Crash During Hailstorm in Clackamas County

Weather is a suspected factor in a deadly head-on crash that occurred during a fierce hailstorm on Oregon 211 in Clackamas County Thursday night, killing a 52-year-old woman from Boring.

Wendy Falk was driving a gray Honda Civic south near Woodburn at about 6 p.m. when the severe hailstorm and freezing temperatures likely caused her to skid into the northbound lane and collide nearly head-on with a silver Dodge 1500 truck, Oregon State Police said in a news release.

Falk suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Thomas Dunn, 41, of Sandy, was driving the pickup and suffered minor injuries, police said.

The collision occurred near milepost 3 on Highway 211, between Molalla and Woodburn.

The highway was closed for three hours while Oregon State Police troopers investigated with the Oregon Department of Transportation.
