A three-alarm fire ripped through an unfinished apartment complex in Wilsonville early Sunday morning, also destroying or significantly damaging 20 neighboring condos.
The calls came in at about 1 a.m. from the master planned Villebois residential complex in West Wilsonville. Fortunately, no one was injured in the massive blaze. The apartment building, located in the 11000 block of SW Collina Lane, was still under construction and not yet occupied. However, more than 20 people were displaced from the neighboring houses that were damaged when the fire spread.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue fought the conflagration throughout the night, assisted by Canby Fire, Aurora Fire and Lake Oswego Fire, along with several law enforcement agencies. Canby Fire Division Chief Todd Gary said CFD sent one engine and four firefighters to help bring the blaze under control, which crews managed to do by about 4 a.m.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is working with TVF&R and Oregon State Police to determine the cause of this fire. Investigators would like hear from residents in the area who have home video surveillance that captured anything suspicious to include vehicles or people in the area during the fire or prior to the start.

If you saw something suspicious or discover it after reviewing your surveillance please contact the sheriff’s office via the tip line and an investigator will contact you directly.
There will be an enhanced law enforcement presence in the area due to this investigation and for security of the scene.
