A Salem man died in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 22E near Detroit Lake and Idanha Saturday morning.
Oregon State Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the scene at approximately 6:45 a.m.
Investigators said Robert Smith, 61, was driving a white 2003 Ford F-250 pickup, which was towing a boat, when he went off the roadway and struck a tree.
Smith sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not say what factors may have contributed to the crash.
OSP was assisted by ODOT and Idahna Fire.
