Massive traffic delays hit the Interstate 5 corridor in the Willamette Valley Monday after an overturned semi-truck blocked all northbound lanes at milepost 282, two miles south of Wilsonville.
The Aurora Fire District responded to the scene just after 10:30 a.m. and tweeted that the truck crashed and was blocking the roadway near the French Prairie Rest Area.
No one was injured in the crash, Oregon State Police reported, and the cause is being investigated.
By 4:15 p.m., the Oregon Department of Transportation said only one northbound lane remained closed. Transportation officials still warned of backups and delays on northbound I-5 and recommended taking alternate routes if possible.
