First-term House Representative Christine Drazan, of Canby, was sworn in this morning before a standing-room-only crowd at the Oregon State Capitol Building. She took her oath of office along with the rest of the House delegation as the 2019 Legislative Session got officially underway.
Rep. Drazan is a former member of the Canby School District Budget Committee and has also served on the Clackamas County Planning Commission. She campaigned on a platform of improving high school graduation rates and reforming the state’s spending and budgeting process.
In her first term, she has been appointed to serve on the Joint Committee on Ways and Means Subcommittee on Education, the House Committee on Economic Development and the House Committee on Health Care.
Drazan’s district, District 39, includes Canby and parts of unincorporated Clackamas County east of Oregon City, Gladstone and Clackamas.
