Detectives with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office are continuing their homicide investigation after a woman’s body was found on a vacant property near Wilsonville last week.
According to police, a worker at a vacant property in the 26000 block of Southwest Stafford Road, northeast of Wilsonville, discovered the woman shortly before noon Monday, July 10, and called the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
Following family notifications, the victim was identified as Clarissa Hammon-Sweet, 43, of Salem. An autopsy determined that she died of homicidal violence, the sheriff’s office said, but has not released further details about her cause of death.
The property has a home on it, but it was vacant and in the process of being sold at the time of the discovery, police said. Hammon-Sweet’s body was found on the lot and not inside the house. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
Detectives have asked anyone with information regarding the victim or the circumstances surrounding her death to contact the sheriff’s office by phone at 503-723-4949 or by using the online email form.
