The Canby Boys Soccer team got their first win this week, defeating Lakeridge on the road, 3-1. Junior Francisco Cabello was particularly impressive in the win, scoring two goals and assisting on a third, to senior Sergio Rodriguez.

On youth soccer night Thursday, Canby fought hard all night, but visiting Tualatin managed to escape with the 1-0 win, denying the Cougs their second win in a row. Up next will be Lake Oswego and Oregon City, both at home. The action kicks off at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

The girls soccer team had only one match this week, a 2-1 loss they took on the road to Prairie High School in Vancouver. The loss drops them to 1-2 on the season. They’ll be back in action at home Monday vs Beaverton, then hit the road Thursday to face Wilsonville.
