One person and their pets were killed in a fire at a mobile home complex in Clackamas Tuesday afternoon, officials report.
Clackamas Fire District personnel responded to the fire off Highway 212 shortly after 2 p.m., according to a Facebook post.
“Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire but managed to extinguish it in about 20 minutes,” Clack Fire officials said in the November 16 post.
A resident was initially taken to the hospital on Tuesday, but Clackamas Fire District announced Wednesday that they had died along with four cats.
Authorities at the scene said the fire started on the outside of the home and moved inside.
The victim has not yet been identified, and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
