Highway 99E was closed after an early morning fire broke out at a bar and restaurant in Oregon City Monday.
Clackamas Fire arrived to find smoke pouring from the Highland Stillhouse, a Scottish-themed pub located at 201 South 2nd Street, just before 5 a.m.
Crews went to work to locate and contain the fire, prompting closures of northbound Highway 99E and 2nd Street.
During the fire response, traffic on Hwy 99E was diverted onto South End Road.
Clackamas Fire said at 6 a.m. that the fire was under control. Oregon City police said the roadways reopened at 6:40 a.m.
Captain Brandon Paxton told The Canby Current that the cause had been a small electrical fire that started in the bathroom. The Stillhouse sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported.
The fire impacted Canby Area Transit service Monday, with buses to and from Oregon City running on the incident route.
Normal service had resumed by 7:15 a.m., with all stops being serviced.
