The Kiwanis Club of Canby is celebrating Earth Day with a seed giveaway for kids through age 12.
This drive-thru event will be held on Earth Day, April 22, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Wait Park.
Each child will receive a packet of flower seeds and the dirt to get them started, along with instructions for making seed starters from newspaper or toilet paper.
Canby Public Libary children’s library Peggy Wickwire has put together a list of Earth Day books to include in the handouts.
In addition, kids who share a picture showing them picking up trash for Earth Day will receive a special treat.
