Great night for Canby Basketball! 🙌🏼
After dropping their league opener at home in a heartbreaker vs. Tigard, the Cougar girls basketball team bounced back with a gutsy road win over Lakeridge Friday, one in which they led virtually wire to wire. Final score 44-34.
The boys, who won only two Three Rivers League games all of last season, matched that total in their first two chances, starting with a remarkable upset win over the then-No. 1 ranked Tigard Tigers on their home court.

The boys also had Lakeridge on the road Friday, and the final score was a bit closer, 60-54. But a win is a win, as they say, and a 2-0 start in the brutally competitive Three Rivers League is impressive no matter how you slice it.
The Cougs will be at home for Spirit Week this week, as they host Oregon City on Tuesday night and West Linn Friday. Go Cougars!
