The body of 35-year-old Amber Jayne Eldridge, of Salem, was found Sunday afternoon by search and rescue volunteers on Sawtell Road, about 15 miles south of Molalla.
According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, her body was located in steep, thickly wooded terrain, about 700 feet from where her vehicle was found the day before. Over 50 volunteer searchers with the CCSO Search and Rescue Team had been looking for her over the last two days.
As of yesterday, police said that the cause of death is under investigation, but they do not currently suspect foul play. Amber had been last seen at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, in Molalla. She had told friends she was heading back to Salem, but her car was later found, abandoned.
Our deepest sympathies to her family and loved ones.
