CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. — A tragic single-vehicle crash on Interstate 205 claimed the life of a Wilsonville man on Tuesday morning, according to the Oregon State Police (OSP). The victim has been identified as 43-year-old Nicholas Russell Palmeri.
The Crash
Emergency crews were dispatched to the northbound lanes of I-205 near milepost 5 at approximately 11:39 a.m., following reports of a vehicle off the roadway. Upon arrival, officers discovered a Dodge Dakota that had veered off the interstate and crashed into a nearby tree.
Despite the swift response from first responders, Palmeri was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have not yet determined what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway, and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing.
