PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 19-year-old was hospitalized after being shot during a party at a Northeast Portland Airbnb late Sunday night, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
Police said they were called to the scene shortly before midnight after receiving reports of a shooting injury at a residence that was later identified as an Airbnb rental where several teens had gathered for a party.
When officers arrived, they found the injured teen inside a car near the property. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover, as officials described the injuries as non-life-threatening.

Investigators determined the shooting took place inside or near the rental home, though the circumstances leading up to it remain unclear. Police said all the partygoers fled before officers arrived, making it difficult to identify witnesses or a suspect.
Authorities obtained permission from the property owner to enter and investigate the home, collecting evidence related to the shooting. The Enhanced Community Safety Team (ECST) has taken over the investigation and is working to learn what led to the gunfire.
Airbnb’s Community Disturbance Policy strictly prohibits parties at rental properties. Violations can lead to account suspension or permanent bans for both guests and hosts. The company has previously implemented restrictions to discourage large, unauthorized gatherings, particularly among underage guests.
Police have not released any suspect information and are urging anyone with knowledge of the incident or video evidence to come forward.
The investigation remains ongoing.
