Suspect’s Red Lexus Located a Day After Fatal Vancouver Shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. — Authorities have located a red Lexus believed to be connected to a fatal shooting in Vancouver, just one day after the incident occurred, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Community Alert Issued

On Sunday, investigators issued a public alert asking for help in finding the red Lexus linked to the deadly shooting in Clark County. The vehicle was reportedly seen fleeing the scene immediately after the shooting, prompting a widespread search across county lines.

Details of the Incident

Witnesses told detectives they saw two masked men moving between the victim and the victim’s vehicle shortly after the shooting took place. The suspects then got into the red Lexus and were last seen driving toward Portland, raising concerns that they had crossed into Multnomah County.

Vehicle Found in Multnomah County

By Monday morning, law enforcement officials confirmed that the suspect’s Lexus had been located in Multnomah County. The sheriff’s office publicly thanked community members for their quick reporting and cooperation, which helped lead to the vehicle’s discovery.

Authorities have not yet confirmed whether any arrests have been made or if the suspects have been identified. The condition and location of the vehicle at the time of recovery have not been released, as the case remains an active investigation.

Ongoing Investigation

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the fatal shooting, working closely with partner agencies in Oregon and Washington to gather evidence and identify those responsible. Detectives are examining forensic evidence from both the scene of the shooting and the recovered vehicle to determine the sequence of events leading to the victim’s death.

Officials have urged anyone with additional information or who may have seen the Lexus in either Clark or Multnomah County to contact investigators immediately.

Public Cooperation Praised

Law enforcement emphasized the critical role the public played in locating the vehicle so quickly. “Community awareness and responsiveness made a significant difference in this case,” officials said in a statement.

Developing Story

This remains a developing investigation, and authorities plan to release more details as they become available.
