GRESHAM, Ore. (KPTV) — Police are searching for a 41-year-old Gresham man who uses a wheelchair and went missing after a scheduled medical transport on Saturday morning.
According to the Gresham Police Department, Kai Santos left his care facility near Northeast Fifth Street and Northeast Hood Avenue, where he resides, around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Santos had arranged transportation through Ride To Care, a medical transport service.
Authorities say Santos, who is a double amputee and quadriplegic, has not been seen or heard from since leaving the facility. His family reported that they have been unable to confirm where the transport service took him or his current location.

Santos is described as a Filipino man with short black hair and brown eyes. He relies on a wheelchair for mobility at all times.
Police are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact 911 or the non-emergency line at 503-823-3333.
As the search continues, Gresham authorities and Santos’ family are asking the community to stay alert and report any sightings to help bring him home safely.
