PORTLAND, Ore. — A late-night public safety operation conducted by the TriMet Transit Police Division on October 29 led to 11 arrests and multiple vehicle tows in the Delta Park and Hayden Island area, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.
The three-hour mission aimed to enhance safety around the end of the MAX Yellow Line and nearby bus stops, where officers have been increasing their late-night patrols due to ongoing safety concerns. Law enforcement officials said the targeted operation was part of a coordinated effort to ensure a secure environment for both riders and residents in the surrounding communities.
During the sweep, officers served over a dozen warrants and towed two vehicles for various violations. The Multnomah County Detention Center played a vital role in the mission by processing arrests swiftly, allowing officers to resume field operations more efficiently.
