GetInsured Signs Multi-Year Contract With Oregon to Launch Full State-Based Marketplace

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — Sept. 16, 2025 — GetInsured, a leading provider of cloud-based technology for public health and human services, has signed a multi-year contract with the State of Oregon to transition its health insurance system to a full State-Based Marketplace (SBM). The move represents a major step away from Oregon’s current reliance on the State-Based Marketplace on the Federal Platform (SBM-FP).

The new system implementation is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks and will give Oregon more control, flexibility, and efficiency in managing its health coverage marketplace.

A Technology-Driven Vision for Coverage

GetInsured’s solution for Oregon combines a configurable Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) eligibility and enrollment platform with an integrated call center. The system is designed to provide a seamless, consumer-friendly experience.

With a unified internal dashboard, Oregon’s customer service representatives will be able to access account information in real time—helping them resolve issues, answer questions, and guide residents more effectively through the health insurance process.

The ultimate goal: increase access to affordable coverage while ensuring Oregonians receive the support they need to make informed choices about their health care.

Part of a Proven National Model

By joining a SaaS platform already in use in states such as Pennsylvania, Nevada, Virginia, and Georgia, Oregon will benefit from a scalable, cost-effective model tailored for public-sector needs.

The technology includes:

  • Real-time eligibility and enrollment

  • Integrated call center support

  • Simplified, intuitive user experience

This shared platform model enables continuous updates, rapid deployment of policy changes, and reduced costs, while still granting Oregon greater autonomy over its health insurance marketplace.

Advancing Health Equity and Access

Officials emphasize that the transition is not just about technology but also about expanding health equity and access statewide. Oregon has long pursued strategies to modernize its health coverage infrastructure, and this move gives the state direct control to adapt to community needs, improve responsiveness, and streamline consumer support.

“Oregon’s move to a full State-based Exchange will empower the state to better serve its residents with a more adaptable and efficient platform,” said Chini Krishnan, CEO of GetInsured. “Our shared infrastructure allows Oregon to benefit from continuous innovation, rapid deployment of policy changes, and a cost-effective model that evolves alongside their goals. We’re proud to be Oregon’s partner in delivering a seamless, technology-forward experience that expands access to affordable health coverage.”

A Strategic Milestone

This partnership underscores Oregon’s long-term commitment to strengthening its health insurance marketplace. By leaving the federal platform, the state gains greater autonomy in operations, policy decisions, and consumer engagement. The shift also reflects a broader trend as more states move to full State-Based Marketplaces in pursuit of cost savings, innovation, and flexibility.
