Firefighters in Oregon made a special effort to rescue fish from a tank during a fire at a dental office on Sunday, officials reported.
Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue responded around 10 a.m. to reports of heavy smoke coming from Kona Kids Dentistry in Tigard. Upon arrival, crews found the single-story standalone building engulfed in flames on all sides. Windows failed due to intense heat, and steady winds contributed to rapid fire spread throughout the office.
Due to the fire’s severity, the department called a second alarm, bringing additional personnel and resources to the scene. Crews worked quickly to bring the blaze under control, but the structure suffered extensive fire and smoke damage.
