ESPN’s “College GameDay” Returning to Eugene for Oregon-Indiana Showdown

EUGENE, Ore. — ESPN’s “College GameDay” is heading back to Eugene for the second time this season, setting the stage for a high-stakes top-10 matchup between the No. 2 Oregon Ducks and the No. 8 Indiana Hoosiers on October 11.

Just two weeks after broadcasting from State College, Pennsylvania, for Oregon’s thrilling double-overtime win over Penn State, the popular pregame show will once again spotlight the Ducks — marking the 13th all-time appearance of “College GameDay” in Eugene.

Another Top-10 Battle at Autzen Stadium

The Ducks return from their bye week with an undefeated 5-0 (2-0 Big Ten) record, facing an equally unbeaten Indiana team that also sits at 5-0 (2-0). The nationally televised matchup, airing on CBS at 12:30 p.m., will be the eighth top-10 showdown ever hosted at Autzen Stadium, and the first since Oregon’s 2024 victory over Ohio State — which was also the last time “College GameDay” visited the campus.

Oregon’s Track Record with “College GameDay”

Oregon has developed a strong connection with ESPN’s flagship college football show over the years. The Ducks hold a 20-13 all-time record in games featured on “College GameDay,” including 9-3 at home. Their recent road win over Penn State improved their record to 8-4 in “GameDay”-featured away matchups.

The program’s frequent appearances reflect Oregon’s rise as a perennial national contender and its ability to attract marquee matchups that captivate college football fans across the country.

A Familiar Scene on Campus

As in previous years, the “College GameDay” set will be located on the Memorial Quad at the University of Oregon, where thousands of fans are expected to gather for the live broadcast. The campus has long been one of the show’s most energetic and visually striking backdrops, often featuring creative signs, vibrant student turnout, and the unmistakable enthusiasm of Duck Nation.

Building Momentum in a Championship Season

Oregon’s thrilling victory over then-No. 3 Penn State propelled the team to the No. 2 ranking in the nation and solidified its status as a leading College Football Playoff contender. The Ducks now look to continue their unbeaten run against a surging Indiana team that has stunned opponents with its balanced offense and stingy defense.

Saturday’s clash promises not only national playoff implications but also another memorable chapter in Eugene’s long history of hosting the sport’s most-watched pregame show.

Further production details and fan-access information for “College GameDay” will be announced by ESPN and the University of Oregon in the coming days.
