DHS Seeks Public’s Help to Locate Missing and Endangered Happy Valley Teen

HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. — The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) is asking for the community’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Payton White, who went missing from Happy Valley on October 31, 2025. Officials say she is considered endangered and may be at risk.

According to ODHS, Payton White is currently in foster care. She was last seen on Halloween, and authorities have been actively searching for her since. The department believes she may be in danger and urges anyone with information to come forward immediately.

Description of the Missing Teen
Payton is described as 5 feet tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She has a distinct tattoo of a crown on her left forearm, measuring about two inches in size.

Possible Locations
Officials say Payton is known to spend time around 82nd Avenue, in both Clackamas and Portland, areas often frequented by vulnerable youth. There is also concern that she may be attempting to travel to California, as she has previously mentioned that possibility.

Call for Public Assistance
ODHS emphasizes that Payton’s safety is their top priority and that locating her quickly is critical. They urge anyone who may have seen her or knows her whereabouts to contact local law enforcement or the Oregon Child Abuse Hotline at 1-855-503-SAFE (7233).

Officials also remind the public not to approach or attempt to retrieve Payton themselves if she is spotted. Instead, they should call authorities immediately to ensure her safe recovery.

The department continues to coordinate with police and community organizations to bring Payton home safely.
