Canby Now Podcast Announces Canby Now Plus, Now Hear This Studios

Tyler Clawson and Tyler Francke, of the Canby Now Podcast and Now Hear This Media LLC, are announcing the launch of our premiere monthly membership service through Patreon, Canby Now Plus, as well as our future plans for Now Hear This Studios, a professional recording studio in the heart of our town unlike anything Canby has ever seen.

Since launching the Canby Now Podcast last year, the growth that we’ve seen has been nothing short of remarkable. From 77 downloads during our launch week at the end of September 2018, we’ve seen our audience balloon to 1,500 weekly listeners in just seven short months, convincing us that local news and entertainment is not dead; it just needed a fresh approach.

“We have absolutely loved doing the Canby Now Podcast, and we don’t plan on stopping,” Tyler Clawson said. “No matter what, you can count on the same great show being delivered to your mobile devices and computers, 100 percent free. Today’s launch of Canby Now Plus won’t change that at all. But it will allow us to offer additional, premium content and services to those who want to and are able to support us on a monthly basis.”

Canby Now Plus consists of three membership tiers: Digital ($1 a month), Basic ($5 a month) and Premium ($15 a month). Premium Plus members will have access to ad-free episodes of the Canby Now Podcast, as well as extended interviews, bonus episodes and new projects we’ll be delving into, like The Other Side, a forthcoming miniseries exploring the topics of life, death and the hereafter with local residents.

Canby Now Plus members will also have the opportunity to support a local, homegrown news and media company that believes in our community and its future, and our vision for Now Hear This Studios. Because NHT will much more than just a stable home for the Canby Now Podcast and our other endeavors. Our dream is that it will be a hub for creative enterprise, professional development and impactful storytelling, open to all the diverse voices that make up our community.

“Through collaboration with the Canby School District and other education partners, we hope to help build the next generation of confident, motivated storytellers and journalists, who will serve their world with courage and integrity,” Tyler Francke said. “And we hope to help preserve Canby’s wonderful heritage and legacy, with not-for-profit storytelling projects centered around local populations of critical cultural significance, including our senior, veteran and Latino community members.”

Today’s announcement charts the course of our future growth for the next couple years, and we are so excited about what lies ahead. If you’d like to consider supporting us, find out more at patreon.com/Canbynowpod.
