Months of preparation are about to pay off for the Canby High School dance team as they head into a packed fall DDCA competition season. After beginning rehearsals in August, the Cougars have been perfecting their routines, and now they’re set to show off their hard work on the competition floor.
Strong Start at the NWOC League Showcase
The team got a preview of the season ahead during the Northwest Oregon Conference (NWOC) League Showcase on October 23 at Parkrose High School. Teams from Canby, Parkrose, Milwaukie, Rex Putnam, Wilsonville, and Centennial each performed one routine, giving audiences a first look at the choreography and energy that will define this season.
While the showcase celebrated teamwork and performance, Canby also earned notable individual recognition. Five Canby seniors—Daniella Marquez, Allie Bowen, Lizzy Michaels, Elise Quinlan, and Jazzy Goldsmith—were named to the NWOC All-League Team and recognized during the event for their dedication and leadership.
