New Reckless Driving Videos Surface
Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Oscar Burrell Jr., 33, a Portland man previously convicted of reckless driving after he allegedly posted new videos online showing similar behavior. Burrell, who was on probation, is accused of violating the terms of his release by continuing to record himself driving dangerously around the metro area.
According to KATU News, Burrell shared several TikTok videos that appear to show him behind the wheel once again. While reporters could not confirm the dates when the clips were filmed, the videos have raised serious concern among law enforcement and the community.
Prior Conviction and Sentencing
In September 2025, Judge Katharine von Ter Stegge sentenced Burrell to 18 months of probation and 80 hours of community service for 11 reckless driving offenses. His driver’s license was also suspended for 90 days as part of the sentence.

Burrell gained attention earlier this year when videos of him speeding and weaving through Portland streets went viral on social media. His case sparked public debate about accountability and the dangers of glamorizing reckless driving online.
Violation of Probation and Arrest Warrant
On October 27, 2025, Judge von Ter Stegge signed a warrant for Burrell’s arrest, citing “willful non-compliance” with his probation terms. The warrant followed reports of new videos showing Burrell allegedly engaging in the same reckless conduct that led to his conviction.
Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that the videos are under review and that the court acted swiftly once the violations came to light.
District Attorney’s Statement
District Attorney Mike Schmidt’s office released a statement emphasizing that such behavior endangers lives and undermines public safety efforts.
“We are aware that community members have seen what appears to be new videos of Mr. Burrell acting dangerously,” said spokesperson Elena Vasquez. “Specifically, continuing the same behavior of recording himself while driving in a reckless manner. We are taking this issue seriously, and the Court has issued a warrant for his arrest.”
Vasquez added that the DA’s office remains “committed to seeing an end to this dangerous behavior.”
Community and Law Enforcement Response
Local authorities and residents expressed frustration over Burrell’s apparent disregard for the law. The case highlights growing concerns about social media trends that encourage dangerous driving for online attention.
As of Friday, Burrell’s whereabouts remain unknown, and law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information about his location to contact police.
The investigation continues as officials work to ensure accountability and public safety on Portland’s roads.
