WOODBURN, Ore. — Three people were injured following an explosion at the Woodburn Inn late Friday night, according to the Woodburn Police Department.
Officers responded around 10:42 p.m. on November 8 to reports of an explosion at the motel located at 1025 N. Pacific Highway. Upon arrival, police found a 25-year-old man outside one of the ground-level rooms suffering from non-life-threatening bleeding injuries.
Authorities said the man’s wounds appeared to be caused by flying glass and debris scattered across the parking lot after the explosion.

Inside the affected motel room, officers discovered two additional victims — a 33-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man — both of whom sustained burn injuries. Emergency responders provided medical assistance, and all three individuals were transported to local hospitals for further treatment.
Following the blast, police evacuated the motel as a precaution while the Oregon State Police bomb squad conducted a thorough search of the area. Investigators confirmed that no explosive devices were found at the scene.
The cause of the explosion remains under investigation, and officials have not released details about what may have triggered it.
