PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) — Portland police are actively searching for a suspect involved in a shooting that took place early Friday morning in Southeast Portland.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, officers were dispatched at around 7:16 a.m. to reports of gunfire near Southeast 127th Avenue and Southeast Stark Street. When officers arrived, they found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency responders provided first aid before the victim was transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities said his injuries are non-life-threatening.

Suspect Fled on Foot
Police said the suspect fled the scene on foot, prompting an immediate search of the surrounding neighborhood. Officers canvassed the area throughout the morning, but no arrests had been made as of mid-day Friday.
Authorities have not yet released a description of the suspect or any possible motive behind the shooting.
