TIGARD, Ore. (KOIN) — A lunchtime shooting at a popular Tigard restaurant left one man seriously injured and another in police custody Saturday afternoon.
Shooting Reported at Sanchez Taqueria
The incident occurred just after noon at Sanchez Taqueria on Southwest Pacific Highway. Witnesses told police that a dispute between two customers escalated, ending when one of them pulled out a firearm and shot the other.
Emergency crews arrived quickly and transported the victim to a local hospital. Authorities said the man sustained serious injuries but is expected to survive.

The alleged shooter fled the restaurant in a vehicle following the gunfire. Officers responding to the scene tracked the suspect and conducted a stop at Southwest Gaarde Street and Pacific Highway, less than two miles from the restaurant.
