BEAVERTON, Ore. (KPTV) – A 31-year-old man has been arrested and indicted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that took the life of a pedestrian in Beaverton earlier this month, according to the Beaverton Police Department.
The crash occurred around 8:46 p.m. on October 4 along Scholls Ferry Road near Hall Boulevard. Police say the driver of a white Audi sedan struck 67-year-old Emmanuel Del Cid and then fled the scene without stopping to help. Tragically, Del Cid died at the scene from his injuries.
Authorities immediately launched an investigation to identify the suspect and locate the vehicle involved. On October 8, police located the white Audi believed to be connected to the crash. Investigators continued gathering evidence, including witness statements and vehicle damage analysis, which eventually led them to the suspected driver.

On October 13, officers arrested 31-year-old Taylor Ray Willan at a residence in south Beaverton. Following a detailed review of the case, a Washington County grand jury later indicted Willan on a felony hit-and-run charge. He was subsequently booked into the Washington County Jail.
The Beaverton Police Department emphasized that the investigation remains active, as detectives continue to examine evidence and determine any additional contributing factors.
