Dahlia Festival Continues to Brighten Summer’s Last Weeks

CANBY, Ore. – The final weeks of summer in the Willamette Valley are in full bloom as the annual Dahlia Festival returns to Swan Island Dahlias in Canby. The event, a long-standing tradition for flower lovers and families alike, runs every Wednesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through September 28.


A Floral Showcase

Visitors are invited to stroll through nearly 50 acres of colorful fields showcasing more than 375 dahlia varieties. A display garden highlights some of the most dazzling and unique blooms, making the festival a favorite destination for gardeners, photographers, and anyone seeking the simple joy of walking among flowers.

Admission and parking are free, allowing guests to spend as much time as they’d like among the blooms. Fresh-cut flowers are also available for purchase, giving festival-goers a chance to take home a piece of the experience.

Beyond the gardens, the Dahlia Festival offers a full menu of activities and entertainment. Local food trucks serve a variety of meals and treats, while live music performances bring added energy to the weekends.
