When weather temperatures are forecasted to hit 33 degrees or lower, warming centers throughout Clackamas County open their doors for refuge.
Residents who need to seek relief from the cold temperatures, snow and ice can find either a daytime or an overnight warming center in various communities throughout the county.

Overnight warming centers that are slated to open when temps fall to 33 degrees or lower include The Fathers Heart Ministry at 603 12th Street in Oregon City and Molalla Hope at 209 Kennel Avenue in Molalla. There are currently no overnight warming locations in Canby.
However, the Canby Adult Center at 1250 South Ivy Street is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and Friday for those needing shelter from extreme weather during normal operating hours, as is the Canby Public Library, 220 Northeast 2nd Avenue, open from 10 to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Other daytime warming centers in the area include the Molalla Adult Community Center at 122 Grange Avenue, Wilsonville Community Center at 7965 Southwest Wilsonville Road and Wilsonville Public Library at 8200 Southwest Wilsonville Road.
The county says officials are negotiating with warming center providers in additional communities.
For over 10 years, Clackamas County has supported a network of overnight warming centers to ensure that people living outdoors have a safe place to sleep on nights when the temperature is forecast to fall below 33 degrees.
