Downtown Canby’s beloved trick-or-treating tradition will return on Halloween with the city-sponsored Spooktacular Village from 3 to 6 p.m. at participating businesses and locations.
Even businesses and organizations that are not located in the downtown core can join in the fun by partnering with downtown storefronts and brick-and-mortar locations.
The tradition brings thousands of costumed youngsters and their parents to the streets of downtown Canby. Last year’s event, which returned after a one-year hiatus due to Covid-19, was particularly well-attended with some businesses running out of candy early — even despite stockpiling extra treats.
In addition to the main event, the Canby Public Library will be open and offering free book giveaways and other Halloween-themed activities and offerings.
And the Canby Christian Church, located at 444 North Holly, will again be transforming its parking lot into its annual Trunk-Or-Treat event, with candy, snacks, games, activities and much more for the whole family to enjoy. Trunk-or-Treat kicks off at 4:30 p.m. and runs through 7.
