A Tesla driver was transported by Life Flight air ambulance to an area hospital after a high-speed crash in Oregon City Sunday evening.
The crash happened in unincorporated Clackamas County east of Oregon City on South Bradley Road, near Redland.
The driver, whom Clackamas Fire officials did not identified, was ejected when the Tesla went off the road at a high rate of speed.
The driver sustained critical injuries to his head, chest, abdomen and femur, Clackamas Fire said.
Life Flight and American Medical Response of Clackamas and Multnomah counties were among the agencies who assisted first responders at the scene.
In other area crashes, a 15-year-old boy was critically injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Lancaster Drive Northeast north of Silverton Road Northeast in Marion County Saturday night.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene of the crash shortly before 11 p.m., where they located the driver, 20-year-old Fernando Guzman Guzman and a 15-year-old passenger. A third occupant from the gray 2006 Mazda 6 reportedly fled the scene before deputies arrived, according to officials.
The 15-year-old male passenger sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to an area hospital by ambulance. Guzman Guzman was also transported to an area hospital for evaluation following the crash.
Guzman Guzman was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and second-degree assault. He is currently lodged at the Marion County Jail and is scheduled for arraignment Monday afternoon.
