New Clackamas County Chair Tootie Smith, along with newly elected Commissioner Mark Shull and returning Commissioner Martha Schrader, will take their oaths of office during a public ceremony Wednesday afternoon.
The event will take place outdoors, and in-person attendance will be extremely limited due to coronavirus restrictions. However, the event will be made available to the public in the days following on the county’s numerous communication channels, including Facebook and YouTube.
The event is purely ceremonial, as all three commissioners took their official oaths and began work last week.
Any member of the public who does attend should prepare for the elements and expect to be unsheltered at the event. Please check the weather in the days leading up to the ceremony.
