Need to dispose of sensitive documents — and you don’t have a fireplace handy?
Fortunately, the Canby Area Chamber’s Shred Day event is returning to the Clackamas County Fairgrounds later this month.
With the help of Kahut Waste Services, the event will offer secure recycling of confidential documents as well as e-waste. Webber Consulting will also be on hand to provide safe and secure wiping of your hard drive and devices before disposal.
The Canby Police Department will also be available to take back and safely dispose of old and unused prescriptions drugs, while the Canby Lions Club will be accepting unneeded eyeglasses, cellphones and hearing aids.
Shred Day will be held from noon to 4 Thursday, April 22, at the red lot outside the Clackamas County Fairgrounds.
Shred Day is a fundraiser for the Canby Area Chamber of Commerce, with a $5 suggested donation per box or bag of documents, and $10 suggested to securely wipe each hard drive.
The event is made possible thanks to the Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center and volunteers from chamber member and sponsor DirectLink.
