Deputies with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office are seeking help from the public in identifying two men caught on camera in an alleged early morning burglary near Mulino.
Deputies responded to the burglary call around 6:15 a.m. Friday at an address in the 15000 block of South Buckner Creek Road. According to authorities, two men wearing hooded sweatshirts were breaking into a shipping container on the site.
Before deputies arrived, a neighbor entered the property and tried to block the suspects’ cars. However, one of the suspects reportedly crashed into the neighbor’s car with a white Ford Econoline van before backing down the driveway, damaging a trailer the van was towing.
The other suspect, driving a blue Ford Expedition, allegedly pointed a handgun at the neighbor before the two left the area on foot.
Several units from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office responded to locate the two suspects, including K-9 units, drones and the CCSO Air Support Unit. Deputies searched the property and surrounding area for several hours but were unable to locate them.
The suspects left their two vehicles behind, one of which turned out to be stolen out of Clark County, Washington. Both vehicles were seized for evidence.
The owner of the shops said the suspects caused damage to his property and attempted to steal several items as seen in surveillance video captured during the incident.
