Photos: Lee Elementary School Teachers, Administrators Treat Students to Parade

Don’t Be “Lone-Lee,” You Are Missed. That was the message from Lee Elementary teachers and administrators this afternoon as they drove the streets of their students’ neighborhoods in an organized car parade.

Teachers’ cars were decorated with balloons, hearts, stuffed animals and signs bearing messages like, “You Are Missed,” “I Love My Students,” “Keep Laughing,” “Lee Kids Are No. 1” and “I’d be LION [the school’s mascot] if I Said I Didn’t Miss You!”

Families made signs of their own to show their appreciation for teachers. Some appreciate them now more than they ever realized.

“I will never judge you again,” said the sign held by Canby City Councilor and Lee parent Shawn Varwig. “#WeSupportDayDrinking 🍷”
