The nonprofit Friends of the Canby Public Library are continuing their popular outdoor book sales this summer, offering fantastic deals on a wide variety of reading material for all ages, as well as CDs, DVDs and other entertainment.
The next sale will be from 10 to 2 p.m. Friday, June 18, at the Civic Plaza outside the Canby Public Library. Local balloon twister Antonio Sombrero will be on-hand.
School’s officially out, and information about the library’s summer reading program for adults and kids will be offered. Children’s books and DVDs will be 10 for $1, and CDs will be 20 for a buck.
Most hardcover books will be $2, paperbacks $1, and there will be a large selection of the Friends’ famous 50-cent selections.
Later sales are scheduled for July 16, Aug. 6 and Sept. 3 and 17. All sales will be at the Civic Plaza except for the first one in September, which will be staged at Swan Island Dahlias.
