Recreational Scooter Stolen from Home of 101-Year-Old Man in Clackamas County

A recreational mobility scooter was stolen this week from the home of a 101-year-old man in southeast Portland.

The man lives in a mobile home part in the 7400 block of SE King Road — an urban area located in northeast Clackamas County. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating and requests the public’s help in recovering the electric- and pedal-powered trike, which retails for around $1,600.

The man noticed his red EWheels EW29 Recreational Scooter was missing around 10 a.m. Monday. The chains normally securing the trike to his porch had been cut.

The victim purchased the scooter, which is red with black highlights, a year and a half ago for $1,624.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office Tip Line — by phone at 503-723-4949 or by using their confidential online form. Please reference CCSO Case No. 20-009317.
