Country Financial donated $3,000 to the Clackamas Emergency Services Foundation this week to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and hands-only CPR manikins to increase the chances or cardiac arrest survival within the community.
On behalf of the Clackamas Emergency Services Foundation, Clackamas Fire Chief Fred Charlton accepted the donation on Wednesday from Country Financial representatives Bryce Jackson and James Maciokas at Clackamas Fire Station 1 in Milwaukie. The trio then posed for a quick social-distancing photo op to mark the generous occasion.
“This generous donation helps Clackamas Fire protect our community through the purchase of an AED and hands-only CPR manikins,” said Fred Charlton, Clackamas Fire Chief. “Both hands-only CPR and the use of an AED dramatically increase someone’s ability to survive a cardiac arrest.”
The Clackamas Emergency Services Foundation consists of emergency service agencies within Clackamas County and provides assistance to people who’ve been affected by disaster, tragedy, injury or other adversities.
